Directions Health Temporary COVID Changes to Courses Sydney

Temporary COVID Changes:

Due to the high risk of cross contamination of the COVID-19 virus, the NSW givernment has placed restrictions on holding adult eduction classes. ASQA together with our RTO Allens Training rto no 90909 have allowed short contact assessment only options to selected courses.

How does it work?

Complete an online training module and attend a one hour assessment only one hour block at our Hornsby or Brookvale venues. At the one hour appointment your skills will be assessed. There is no training at your one hour assessment only block. You have two chances to perform the skill. If deemed not yet competent you will need to return within 4 weeks to be reassessed (no extra charge).

Does the course comply with social distancing and infection control?

Yes. You will be alone or with one other student. All hard items are cleaned before and after single use with NSW Health recomended sanitiser. All bandages and slings are washed and sanitised before use according to NSW Health guidelines. It is recommended you wear gloves and masks whilst within the training room so as to reduce the risk of droplet transmission.

Is this type of course right for me?

If you have completed your course at least once before and feel confident that you know how to perform the skills please feel free to call to book a date and time. For those who have not completed their course previously or don't feel confident, please call to discuss your circumstances.
