This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to rescue a person in contact with low voltage live electrical conductors and equipment.
Course in Low Voltage Electrical Work Rescue is a short course,
designed to cover the skills and knowledge required to be able to
carry out a risk assessment of an electrically hazardous situation
and perform low voltage rescue procedures without hazard to
themselves or others.
This unit partially covers the skills of UEENEEE001A Apply OHS
practices in the
workplace from the UEE07 Electrotechnology Training Package
It is a requirement of the Electrical Safety Regulation 2002,
contained within the Queensland Electrical Safety Act 2002 that
“An employer must ensure workers who are required to perform, or
help in performing, electrical work are competent in rescue and
resuscitation in accordance with recognised practices in the
electricity industry.”
HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation IS ALSO INCORPORATED INTO DIRECTIONS HEALTH COURSE.
Course details
Course Format: Blended: Complete 1 hours of unsupervised pre-course study and attend 3 hours of face to face training and assessment.
Assessment: Practical continuous assessments during face-to-face and a short theory exam.
Certificate issued: Statement of attainment - HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live LV panel OR
HLTAID003 Provide First Aid and UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live LV panel
